Main Campus, Mzuzu View mapThe programme is designed for postgraduate students who wish to become high-level experts in STI, while applying knowledge of chemistry and chemical sciences for wealth creation. Students enrolled in this programme are expected to conduct research in areas of Applied Chemistry. These include, but are not limited to, plant protection, agriculture value chain, food chemistry, medicinal chemistry, nutrition, waste management, water chemistry, soil chemistry, air chemistry, nanochemistry, biotechnology, climate resilience, nutrient management, indigenous knowledge systems, neglected and underutilised biodiversity, electrochemistry and fuel cell research, hydrogeochemical modelling, materials and polymer chemistry, inorganic chemistry, analytical chemistry, natural products chemistry, nanotechnology, environmental chemistry, forensic and computational chemistry, among others.
