Main Campus, Mzuzu View mapThe BSc. Value Chain Agriculture Program complements traditional programmes that concentrate on agricultural production. The program targets enterprising applicants who are either aspiring or current agricultural entrepreneurs and who are passionate to be part of transforming Malawi’s agricultural sector into one of the most thriving agricultural sectors in the region and Africa as a whole. Graduates will develop the appropriate knowledge, understanding, skills and attitudes to take crop and animal products through the entire value chain. The course will particularly emphasize the concept of high value crops and livestock products. Thus graduates of this program will be able to manage full value chains of various high value crops and livestock in their own enterprises or of other already established enterprises. They will also be able to carry out consultancies on value chain analysis of various crops and livestock for the government and private sector organizations, or to enter into research for higher degree qualifications in this field.
